Geotechnical Investigation | Ski Club Building, Thredbo
Fortify Geotech’s Canberra team recently completed a comprehensive geotech investigation at a ski club building in Thredbo, New South Wales, just in time for the snow season. This investigation focused on identifying causes of surface water ingress beneath the structure and assessing foundation conditions critical to the building’s safety and longevity.
The scope of the geotech investigation included borehole drilling and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing to gather detailed ground data. Our team adapted to challenging alpine terrain and limited site access by using portable drilling equipment, demonstrating our ability to tailor geotechnical investigations to difficult environments.
This project reinforces Fortify’s expertise in delivering specialised geotech investigations for alpine structures, ensuring safe and sustainable outcomes in snow-prone regions.
